Monday 10 May 2021 marks the launch of Mental Health Awareness Week, the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health. This year the theme is Nature and how connecting with the natural world can support good mental health. Across the country, people will be celebrating the mental health benefits of being around nature in their local community in a range of digital and creative ways.
At The Whitehaven Academy we will be looking at this years theme in close detail. During the week, all students will participate in daily activities linked to ‘nature’, along with developing awareness around the 5 ways to wellbeing, connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give.
