Extracurricular Clubs Timetable
At The Whitehaven Academy we are proud to offer a wide range of extracurricular opportunities that support and develop students’ skills, interests and character.
The Academy seeks opportunities to enrich students’ personal development through extra-curricular before school, lunchtimes and after school with a diverse, carefully coordinated Extra Curricular programme to provide further opportunities alongside our broad and balanced curriculum.
The Academy offers a wide range of extracurricular activities including Expressive Arts Team, Eco Council, Music, Coding, Duke of Edinburgh, and Bake Off. Sporting Events, Summer Arts Show, Theatre Visits, supporting primary schools and a wide range of sporting opportunities and teams.
Students can participate in extra-curricular opportunities by signing up to clubs with their form tutor. The programme is refreshed each term and students can join clubs at any time.
Lunch clubs
All lunch clubs need to be signed up for to get a lunch pass in advance which you can then use weekly.
Lunch passes will allow you to jump the lunch queue, eat lunch in the Atrium then attend your club.
PE clubs
PE kit is required for after school sport sessions and EAT, trainers are required for lunch time Sports sessions then school shoes back on for lessons.
If you have any questions about the clubs, or should you wish to get a pass to join, please don’t hesitate to ask the staff members mentioned on the timetable.
