Making the right choices with The Whitehaven Academy.
2021 is an exciting year for our current Year 9 students and the academy as a whole. We have greatly strengthened our staff team with specialist subject leaders who have developed a Key Stage 4 curriculum that challenges all. Last year saw the start of the new build, so that our current Year 9s will complete their all important GCSE year in 2021/22 in state-of-the-art facilities. What matters now is picking the right learning pathway for success in 2023. This booklet, alongside our options evening, tutor and assembly programme and one-to-one meetings should combine to give students and their families the information required to make the best choices.
