Dear Students, Parents and Carers,
As Headteacher, I have been constantly inspired by the brilliant approach and true resolve of our students. Similarly, I have learnt a great deal from the invaluable feedback from parents and carers. It is now the start of half term and I hope you will join me in also thanking our wonderful staff.
Over the past few months they have been exploring different ways to help learning; passing on praise; making sure we respond to texts and emails from parents; processing food vouchers; handling mountains of admin; checking fellow colleagues are okay; ensuring our students are safe; grappling with new technology; planning for next year; supporting team members; making each other laugh; balancing home and work; trying different ways to engage the students; cleaning like it is going out of fashion; focusing carefully on Year 11 moderation; video editing; being filmed in everything from wetsuits to headdresses; thinking of a never ending range of challenges to keep students motivated; updating our social media; celebrating learning; sharing ideas and solutions; reassuring; being kind; delivering computers; volunteering; pitching in; making sure the school site is safe; passing on worries; liaising with primaries; supporting students getting ready for sixth form; preparing the child care provision; keeping in touch with students and parents; listening to concerns; thinking of others and repeatedly and constantly adapting so that we can keep our students and each other as safe, happy and focused as we can.
It is a privilege to be a part of this team. Thank you.
Wishing you a pleasant and safe half term.
