On Friday 21st June, Year 8 students were invited to see “Who Cares?”, a drama performance by Lung Theatre, created in collaboration with Salford Young Carers.
The piece was thoroughly gripping, dynamic and engaged our students from the start to the end of the play. The piece included strong storylines and music chosen by the young carers to tell their story with a realistic stage setting.
Students participated in fantastic workshops prior to the performance within their Performing Arts lessons, where they explored the themes practically and shared knowledge as a group. We were also joined by West Cumbria Young Carers on the day to find out more information about the help and support available in our local area. An excellent project and experience for our students.
